A unique combination of natural beauty, historical monuments, culture and gastronomy.
Corfu is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, after all, this is where tourism in the country began in the 1970s.
The island has rich vegetation and unparalleled natural beauty, while the passage of English, French and Venetian conquerors created a multicultural culture that characterizes the island to this day. The old town of Corfu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a wealth of historical monuments, while in its picturesque narrow streets you will discover many unique cafes, restaurants and bars.
The countryside of the island is full of picturesque villages, but also developed tourist resorts that offer the visitor unique moments of relaxation and tranquility.
The island is quite large and you can explore it better by having your own car.
The island, with a coastline that exceeds 220 km, has a multitude of beaches that will satisfy even the most demanding visitor. The south-western part of the island is dominated by long, sandy beaches, some more and others less organized with sections that remain unspoilt. Chalikounas, Marathias (Santa Barbara), Gardenos and Arkoudilas at the southern end of the island stand out.
In the north-eastern part the visitor encounters picturesque coves with pebbles and blue-green waters. Kalami, Kerasia, Avlaki and Bataria in Kassiopi are among the most beautiful.
In the northern part of the island, Arillas beach offers unique sunsets, while the famous Canal d'Amour, in Sidari, is definitely worth a visit.
Scattered throughout the island you will find important points of interest, which are worth visiting
